Information You Provide
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered in a search form are sent to the provider that supplies that tool; our servers do not retain a copy of those search entries. A message sent to us contains only its own text and contact details, which we use to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services produce standard logs such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We review aggregate patterns to maintain the service and understand usage. Cookies or comparable tools may support routine analytics or advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
That limited data supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and content maintenance. We do not sell visitor lists or construct individual visitor profiles.
Outside Links and Tools
Links lead to county and state record portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The destination's own privacy terms govern anything submitted there, including information entered into sponsored search results.
Data Recipients
Hosting and support providers process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the technical data described above. Disclosure occurs when valid legal process requires it and not otherwise.
Safeguards
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or profile records held by Monmouth Residents Directory.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; contact us if a minor has sent information so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
New Jersey's Data Privacy Act, P.L. 2023, c.266, N.J.S.A. 56:8-166.1 et seq., may give eligible consumers rights concerning personal data held by covered businesses. Because we retain very little, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and logs and removing applicable information. Use the Contact page to ask. New Jersey, county, and municipal public records are controlled by their custodians, so requests involving those records must go to the custodian.
Policy Changes
A revised policy will be posted here. Continuing to use the service after a change signals acceptance of the revised version.
